Alone Together: The ending actually wasn't an issue for me to be honest, but maybe it's because this episode works with your feelings more than your pragmatism. The fact that it's light on plot isn't even an issue IMO, sometimes simplicity can work really well. I guess I just feel like it didn't need any big story, plus all of the themes and stuff are already enough for discussion so adding more plot might be an issue. or maybe i am just shipper trash who is biased lololol

Anyway for future reference Stevonnie is canonically a them/they (basically gender neutral pronouns, even with the more feminine appearance).

Space Race: "Maybe his gem-ness does that, idk." That also happened in Ocean Gem, so I think that may be why he can survive in space, at least for longer than a human.

The Test: I must admit, it did take a bit for me to fully grasp what the episode was going for, even if I really liked it too. Yet another example of how well-written this show can be.

Jailbreak: The whole Gems being genderless thing is weird, because while they are obviously sexless, they still use female pronouns so I guess that makes them a race of women, kind of? I guess people are trying to say that Gems don't really have a concept of gender nor do they care or something, but yeah. And yes great finale, amazing how Return and this is only 22 minutes yet it feels like there's so much scope.

So Many Birthdays: I guess the age thing never bugged me because the Gems don't seem to tell everything to Steven in the first place, at least not at this point. Also yeah, the aging thing with Steven's gem is pretty weird, it's like he had to specifically be thinking about aging for it to actually work because he gets emotional in other episodes but never changes his age.

Joking Victim: "Then in Horror Club, we find out he and Ronaldo have a backstory, further developing him. This one was so good some people even decided to change their minds about Lars. Others…not so much." Hmm, wonder who you mean here... Still, unexpected, but I do see why you like it so much. Probably my favourite Lars episode, actually.
